One of my favorite bands, The Woes, needs your vote to play the Newport Folk Festival. They are truly talented, incredible musicians and they deserve this so much. If you’ve never heard them, you’ve got to check them out now at http://www.myspace.com/thewoes.
Back in April, we played NPR’s Mountainstage and it started airing today! If you want to find a station that carries Mountainstage, click here and be sure to tune in!
We’re on tour right now without our full-time suitcase player so we’re looking for some fans to step in and play with us! If we’re playing a show in your town and you’ve got rhythm, WE WANT YOU! Here’s how you audition:
Create a video of yourself playing along to “Colors” (remember, the suitcase beat is on the 1 and the 3, tambourine on the 2 and 4). Upload the video to our audition page on Youtube here: http://www.youtube.com/group/suitcaseaudition!
Let us know which city you live in and the show you’re auditioning for. We’ll be picking videos before each show and the lucky winners will play suitcase with us LIVE on stage!
There are two things of note in this just released teaser for “Weeds” season six. First, Mary Louise Parker just gets better and better looking. Her face, her hair, her body — everything. This woman is perfection.
Secondly, the clip features music from PopWrap fave April Smith and the Great Picture Show. The track in question is “Terrible Things” but the whole album — “Songs for a Sinking Ship” — is one of the most exciting CD’s I’ve heard in years. An absolute must have for 2010.
“Terrible Things” is being featured in the season 6 promo for Showtime’s hit series “Weeds”! I’m a HUGE fan of the show and am honored to see Mary-Louise Parker looking drop-dead gorgeous while digging holes to my song. Check it out below and on TV!
Check out the Limited Edition Posters now available in the webstore designed by Two Arms Inc. We have a very limited amount and they won’t be available at shows on the tour so get one while you can!
